Prices are up, attendance is down, and cuts are being made.

I really don’t care why I’m being downvoted, I just don’t understand why.

... I feel like Orlando has just given me the middle finger.

Victim complex

We all know they're doing it to draw in more people not to spite you specifically.

I’m not paying more for niche, extreme-themed areas.

These areas are the exact opposite of niche. They're targeted at two of the biggest fanbases out there and the largest grossing movie ever. The same reason why the movies keep being made is the same reason why they're getting parks.

Just because you don't like them doesn't mean you need to downplay their inherent draw. HP is a resounding success, Pandora is well-liked and a huge draw backed by park attendance numbers. Jury is still out on Star Wars, I'm not a fan but we need to at least wait for the last ride to open.

I recognize that these are large franchises but there is no room for growth or development within them.

I'd say this is debatable. They're all receiving new movies. HP just got a new ride.

All rides are sort of interchangeable anyway, just a matter of which skin you want to put on it. Dumbo, Aladdin, Astro Orbiter prove that, or Dinosaur and Indiana Jones, or ToT and Guardians, or etc etc.

I don't mean to get into a huge debate about the topics because I don't really care but just trying to give you some perspective on the downvotes since no one else has. As an aside I think everything after the downvote part of the edit would have earned you many upvotes.
