Prices of used cars and trucks dropped 4%

It will take years to work itself out. Cars aren't only hard to get now, but the number of cars produced 20-21-22, and maybe beyond are low and that means that there will also be less relatively new used cars around as those start coming off leases.

Overall volume didn't decrease much. Production volume was only down on cars that already had low production. Manufacturers shifted resources from models like Camaros to vehicles that were already high volume. Look at the production volume of vehicles like F-150's, Wranglers, Rav4 and Civic. The Civic was down like 15% but Honda sure as hell made up for it with the CRV
