Princeton Professor Under Fire for Using N-Word in Classroom

We should be able to have lower physical standards in the military

You sure about that? Let's apply it to firefighting.

The fire truck has a automatic sprayer designed by our highest lord of automation Elon Musk, so it does the bulk of the work with sensors and heat analyzers and whatnot.

The firefighters still have to connect the truck to a nearby hydrant.

Your house goes ablaze at 3am.. massive fire. The firetruck arrives, but the nearest hydrant is a block away. The 'lower physical standards' firefighter who can't really carry a lot or run very fast has to unroll the hoses and drag it a block away to feed water to the truck. Your house burns in the meantime.

Do you really want that guy to be the one working on putting out the blaze that is your house?

This whole thing where technology and the future is going to solve all of our woes is no different than the SJW utopia-chasers, but it always seems to get a pass. There will ALWAYS be a human element to everything we do, because this world is run by people. Even a fully automated factory still needs people to come in and tune the machines and to configure new programs.

And we should NEVER lower the standards for excellence because in the end, we all end up losing as a result. You should want the best police, military, doctor, nurse, gas station attendant, cook, waitress, or anything to be serving you. Anything less is irrational.
