Principal Refuses To Give Back His Daughters IPhone 6 & Offers Him A Flip Phone Instead!

I was visiting my parents and went to my sisters school to pick her up. She told me she got her ipad taken away. I said alright (now I'm listed as a guardian for her)

So I go into the main office, confirm with them they indeed took my sisters Ipad and I said "I need that Ipad back"

To which I was told "Our policy to hold all electronic devices for one week after confiscation" I repleid with "I don't care about your policy, give me the Ipad back" they replied "Again sir your going need to wait a week due to policy" to which I replied "Your policy does not over-ride state and federal laws, by refusing to return the property to its owner you are committing theft. If you do not return the Ipad I will call the police"

She stood firm I called the police, they had a unit in the area. As they where coming you could see she was frustated. She said "Sir its closing time I'm going need to ask you leave" to which I responded "as soon as you give me the Ipad back I'll leave" (waiting on the cops, she knew I was waiting on the cops) "Sir, your going have to leave or I will be forced to call the cops" I replied with "Great, then we will have more cops to arrest you for theft"

Cop came, I explained the situation to him, he told them to give me the Ipad back, they explained their policy and thats when he dropped the bomb

"I understand your policy, however it would be considered theft to not return the property and if you do not hand over the ipad I will arrest you and you will be charged with theft"

She looked stunned, the office said "Again, if you do not return the Ipad immediately I will arrest you"

She fired back "but polic..."

At this point the cop took out his handcuffs and began approaching her desk

She broke and said "Alright, alright I'll give you your ipad back"

I reported the issue to the board of education.

TL:DR school took my sisters ipad, didn't want to return it, I called the cops, she gave it back.
