Dear Utah,

You get the government you deserve.

sweeping generalization about what everyone in an area deserves, +384

No one deserves this. Everyone deserves much better than this, no matter who they voted for. I know it can feel cathartic to say this as sort of a "hah, told you so", meanwhile people are being harmed by this. This applies to any issue

Also a sort of sweeping generalization, but applies empathy and is (mostly) correct that no one deserves to suffer and die. -52

My comment is pointing out that claiming everyone in the state deserves to die because of the actions of a proper subset is wrong. I'm also pointing out that this thread takes liberties in celebrating the suffering of the full set, simply because they like having an armchair moral high ground about voting.

What do I want random users to do about it? Stop propagating the idea that everyone deserves the consequences, and stop being useless know-it-alls about voting. It's a shame, not an intellectual victory. There exist people that either can't vote or did vote/advocate that will suffer because of this, yet all you keyboard warriors want to do is tell the world "well they should have voted harder." Fuck off.
