Pro-Brexit newspaper begs for immigrants

That industry is almost criminal. Residents paying £1k+ per week but the people looking after them get a few pence above minimum wage.

I can't believe they can find any workers at all.

I have family and friends that worked in assisted living facilities. There may be exceptions but the vast majority are horribly understaffed and the staff they do have are grossly underpaid. As a result, the people at these jobs either don't give a fuck right out the gate or are jaded very quickly. The number of resident deaths at these facilities that happen because of the understaffing and apathy from the workers would shock the nation if journalism wasn't dead and this shit was investigated and brought to light.

Meanwhile, the execs at the tops of these orgs are charging thousands and thousands of dollars per month to each resident and their families and they rake in insane profits. When I'm of the age where I can no longer live independently, I will kill myself before I allow myself to go into a home like that.
