Pro Player K0u Passed Away Sunday

This is a lot more than just mental health and depression. He certainly did experience that, but it’s what he took from it that led to this. He developed a different perspective on life and this was his ultimate conclusion. People in the midst of depression don’t think clearly like that. They are usually clouded with sadness or apathy. I’m not trying to belittle depression, I just want to point out the distinction.

If you really think he was in despair and needed help you need to reread his manifesto. He was far beyond that point. When you begin to think that life has no inherent purpose, there’s no turning back. You can make the most of your life, but in the end everything dies. That is not a negative or positive thing; it is just a fact.

I empathized with his insights and admire his conviction. He made the choice to do what he thought was best for him, so please do not feel bad for him. I’m sure that’s not what he would’ve wanted. Remember him in a positive light as a good player and a good human being.
