Probably an unpopular opinion, but the reason a lot of people don’t like or get bored of a game is due to them looking up builds and tips and tricks videos.

Too easy b/c you watched a video and also too hard b/c you watched a video?

No sense of self discovery b/c of videos? Not at all b/c of the million breadcrumbs, minimaps, and trackers? Not to mention that what you're "discovering" is usually just a checkbox on a list?

Don't like the story b/c you already watched it?

What?

Unpopular opinion: The reason a lot of people get bored of a game is b/c (like myself) they've been playing them non-stop for decades and eventually you're just going to burn out.

There are certainly exceptions to the rule, but being perfectly candid, most games are like crime dramas. There are a lot of flavors of CSI, but once you've watched one you've kinda watched them all. And if you've spent the last few decades watching them all it's going to take something truly well done to catch your attention again.
