It is not okay for the school to have basically prostituted the female athletes in this way for amusement. It sends a message to the boys that out in the world, establishments and institutions will just hand women to you. It reinforces the idea that women are commodities and it objectifies women. In 2011 a similar "prank" took place at a high school in Minnesota, USA. I don't know why a parent would sign up for this or think it would be acceptable or appropriate in any way. It has to be traumatizing to experience a kiss and find out it was your parent. What if this type of "prank" happened in a home setting? Would it still be seen as a prank?
