Thank you Sir for being honest and upfront with your post. I am a Christian and must admit I have not read every book of the Bible from cover to cover. I do know this much though, head knowledge is simply one part. Just because I read the whole car manual from cover to cover does not mean that I know how to build the car or even know what every little component does. I would still need to actually "work" on the car in order to completely grasp what the manual is referring to in some instances. OR have someone with greater knowledge explain things to me. We must be willing to ask questions for clarification and be willing to be comfortable with that person who is teaching us in order to believe they are teaching us the right way. If all anyone ever does is go into the Bible already full of hatred towards it, they will create a greater disdain and mistrust by generating false scenarios to meet their own agendas. I have had MANY questions. A lot are still unanswered, but God does say "Seek and it shall be revealed, knock and the door shall be answered." THAT, my friend is what I would say to you. Go into it with an open heart and open mind. Pray that IF God is real, He will open your eyes and heart to him. That is what I did, and I must say I truly have faith that Jesus was a real person who walked this earth. He had many eye witnesses of his teachings and of his miracles he performed. There were also many eye witnesses who watched his death on the cross (even unbelievers in the Roman soldiers), and many eye witnesses seeing his tomb empty three days later, as well as him back on the earth after those three days. I hope any or all of this made sense. I come in peace and with love. I am not perfect now ever will tell that lie. I am, however, a believer in Jesus Christ.
