Marxist thinking is attributed to this new movement that everyone should be equal. Gender equality, political correctness, wage equality, etc.

While equality should be something we all aspire toward, the ways in which people and countries are going about this are out of spite and anger under the guise of morality. An example of this can be seen in Canada's bill C-16 which makes it punishable by law if you do not use the correct gender pronouns. The use of governmental entities to enforce "equality" is in fact a Marxist ideology. The insistence that everyone be equal will indeed lead us down the same roads as the USSR or Venezuela.

Where does the insistence of equality stop? You have an infinitesimal number of factors of equality and there are many reasons for inequality that are not directly correlated to oppression like many are made to believe.

The problem with this insistence of equality is that the only way to have absolute equality is to give the government absolute power and history has proven time and time again that that will lead down a dark road. Are we willing to give up our freedom for the sake of equality?
