Probably the most over-engineered way to show my Teams status!

Ok that makes me chuckle. You obviously don't know me or what I do or don't understand. I've worked in infosec and appsec, been responsible for pen tests, fixed my fair share of critical vulnerabilities. If you think this is a bizarre fantasy scenario, you should take a look down the rabbit hole of major vulnerabilities that have been exploited over the years. I didn't even read this guy's script, I'm not claiming that this script has this particular vulnerability. It was just an example of the type of situation you might not ever think about until it ends up getting exploited, and why company IT policies end up being so strict.

But again I don't have anything invested in this and don't really care. I definitely will be staying away from this sub though
