The problem behind Soul Wars

I'll try summarise the issue again for you. Jagex want the content to be busy so they force a pet in there. Pet hunters don't want to do that content but because it has a pet, now have to do that content if their goal is all pets. So now pet hunters devise strats to boost zeal. This becomes a problem for casual gamers. It's not the pet hunters fault nor even anyone who wants to win more games/hr be it for the other rewards or satisfaction. So the very people Jagex have used to make the activity busy have in turn given jagex what they did not bargain for. Now they're trying to patch it because it's not how they want the games to be played. So why add the pet?
