The problem with the ARG list

I can only hope I participate in this discussion without being downvoted to oblivion simply because I have a dissenting opinion.

Here goes.

They cannot see what cards are coming out to make other cards OP. For instance, if Konami decided they wouldnt announce noden, we wouldve never known that instant fusion will become very good. With the information konami has, they can pre-emptively limit/ban things.

So? Unlike Konami, which is a snail at changing banlists, ARG can do so at the drop of a hat if need be, even in response to recent/new products and trends.

and try to keep in mind that ARG does this locally, and it's not as if it just said "hey Konami, GTFO, we're the boss now".

Konami doesn't only look at the current meta and decide what to ban. They look at older archetypes aswell. In the past few years they made changes to blackwing. While a few players look at that archetype, a lot others only look at the top decks and what they'll change. ARG only looks at decks that have topped recently. Thus making it a less versatile format.

Perhaps, but this also means that top decks will be monitored and nerfed/regulated when necessary, effectively achieving the same thing Konami does when it say, releases support for new archetypes(if ARG could do that themselves, I'm sure they would; but since they can't, that makes this their only limitation)

I'm just going to mention the fact that they bought loads of tellar and qli and are trying to sell it before konami releases the mega tins with all the reprints. This list will make them a lot of profit. You can kinda see that they just went like : " Okay, lets just semi-limit summoners art so they'll think we hit qlis." Also, if they wanted to hit nekroz so badly they shouldve hit rota instead of trish. But if they did that, then tellars wouldnt be that good.

That's just them being a business...Konami does it differently, but what they ban/prioritize will always be for the sake of making more money...

Not exactly a flaw that's ARG exclusive.
