Problem with bergeypvp feature? All features are configurable

I'm confused. Is Bergypvp going to function differently for one faction or player versus another?

Can you stop being obtuse. You know what I am saying, you are just being purposely contrary.

The use of potions vary between factions and players. A perfect "average" is nearly impossible to attain, so you need to balance across a reasonable range (which is where a slider variable comes into value).

NEEDING it to get an accurate result

You are picking on one thing you think you need, while discrediting other things that are necessary. One of them is a flexible simulation in which all variables and "constants" are configurable. Without that, no analyzing can be done until you determine your elusive "constants". I wished you could recognize the value of that.

It's a matter of NEEDING it to get an accurate result, period

Except it isn't. Accurate results in a diverse simulations are often impossible. At best you can get reasonable ranges to cover most scenarios. This is a key fact you seem to be missing.

B) more or less randomly guessing config files and seeing if they work.

Oh if only we could analyze that... oh WE CAN. In my simulation. Are you seeing the value yet?

Pretending we know the necessary answer will not help

Scientific method, familiar with it? It is literally the 3rd step (propose hypothesis). "pretending" to know an answer is absolutely essential to scientific advancement.

There's no better way.

Unfortunately the only way is my way, because there is currently no alternative. No one else is willing to put forth data. I have done this kind of stuff for 2+ years, and yet to see any other civcraft player to do any kind of attempts at numerical analysis of pvp. Just a bunch of people complaining that my technique doesn't meet their expectations/requirements/demands.

Perhaps you could surprise me and get some actual data instead of just complaining why you think my technique is wrong.
