The Problem With Concrete

I've read that 40-52% of pregnancies in the US are unplanned. Which isn't unsurprising just asking around either, but I kind of imagine the concept of an unplanned pregnancy being a thing of the past one day. It's such a huge life decision and doesn't just impact the environment, but the quality of the parent's and child's life. Unplanned children are more likely to be in poverty, do drugs, and be involved in crime.

If people could get all kinds of contraceptives easily and cheaply (if not free), abortions done as early as possible without waiting or jumping through hoops, and making sex education a part of basic public education, I think that would be a big step to reducing a lot of issues across the board.
