The Problem With Gender Neutral Locker Rooms

Second part:

You do understand that trans people are assaulted at much higher rates than the general public, and are well-aware of the issue, right?

Huh?!?! By who and on what planet?

I agree. And letting trans people use the bathroom with which they identify protects us to a great extent and does not (as already mentioned) endanger you.

What if you change your mind mid-piss and decide you're a man again and get up off the pot and turn around to start peeing standing again? What's to stop someone from 'identifying' as a different sex everyday? What about these 'pansexual' snowflakes? Why should normal folks have to deal with the discomfort and unease that comes with being around a trans person in an private setting like a locker room? Why do your feelings seem to matter more than regular people's feelings? What about OUR rights to feel safe and comfortable in the locker room? It appears you have never considered these issues from a normal person's point of view.

When that's available, we often do. It usually isn't. And even if it were, do you not see how it's just a tad degrading to be told "no, you can't come in here, you might be a rapist"?

How about its more likely, "No you can't come in here, you are clearly a man. My daughter is in here etc..."

What of my right to do my darndest to insist that the first time my daughter sees the adult male form it will be because she's chosen it, not because it's forced upon her?

Well this is just stupid in the first place. Seeing a naked adult is not abuse, not even remotely. In fact I don't think there is a child in existence that has not seen their parents naked. This girl is being way over-reactionary about her abuse at this point. Seeing naked adults as a young kid is perfectly normal.

You do understand that trans men exist, right? Your alternative on this issue is to have a big, muscular, bearded trans man in the locker room with your daughter. The only thing about me that is remotely "the adult male form" are my genitals - and this may shock you, but I do not in fact run around waving my genitals in peoples' faces.

Big muscular and bearded? Are these women that became men then? As long as the genitals match up then big deal! Older women have looked like men forever, you can just tell them she is very ugly and not to stare and be rude etc... There that was easy, so is installing a third set of locker rooms.

You do not have an "emotional right" to deny other people their rights purely because they make you uncomfortable.

The same can be said for trans using their 'feelings' to trump regular folks rights to a normal locker room experience.

Unless and until you’ve lined a bathroom door with a towel for protection, you can’t tell me the risk isn’t there.

She is irrational. Period.

Trans people are assaulted both physically and sexually at way beyond the rate of the general public, to say the least of the discrimination we open ourselves up to by outing ourselves anytime we need to pee.

This is such utter bullshit and you fucking know it. Gays are only about 4% of total population, trans folks are a much smaller subset of this demo. You are trying to tell me that people who don't even make up a full percentage point of our population are raped more often that 96% of regular people? Bwahahahah, whatever. Who rapes them? I call bullshit.

And what if one little trans girl gets hurt by not doing it? Because hundreds already have.

No one should be considering this garbage that young. Kids should be allowed to grow up normal and if they want to weird out when they hit 18 so be it. But stop acting like young kids starting to embrace this craziness is a good thing.
