Here's the thing: You don't get to claim "self defense" if people try to take you to the ground after you murder someone. So if the first shoot was bad, the followups are bad as well. I've not seen anything that makes it clear at all how that went, but then again I haven't looked at anything since about 5h after this shit went down and all that was there at the time was shakycam footage from across the street.

That's also the most favorable interpretation, as far as the right is concerned. He broke laws just being there with a gun, and that could very well invalidate any self defense claim in the first place.

Personally, I'm not sold on him going there planning to off somebody. He may also be a shithead kid who desperately wanted to play cop and got in over his head. Having said that, even if that can be demonstrated, that's still at least multiple counts of manslaughter.
