Products for uneven skin tone?

An uneven skin tone can be caused by acne breakouts, autoimmune diseases, skin damage from a sunburn, or as a side effect from a medication. When the skin tone appears blotchy and uneven, it can make the complexion seem sallow and unhealthy. Fortunately, there are a few skin treatments that can soften dead skin cells, exfoliate the softened cells and increase skin cell turnover, which can help return an uneven skin tone to a more balanced state.

Step 1 Soften dead skin cells using a noncomedogenic oil, such as olive oil, which will loosen skin cells without clogging the pores. Spread 1 tbsp. of olive oil onto your skin, and use your fingers to massage the oil deeply into the areas that are unevenly toned. After three minutes, place a steaming washcloth over the skin, leaving it there until it cools. Use the washcloth to wipe off the oil. Repeat twice per day.

Step 2 Exfoliate the softened skin cells using a natural and mildly abrasive scrub, such as baking soda. Pour 1 tbsp. of baking soda into a small bowl, and drizzle 1 tsp. of water on it. Spread the baking soda mixture onto the skin, and use the fingers to massage it in with circular motions. After one minute, rinse off the skin well with water. Repeat twice per day.

Step 3 Increase skin-cell turnover by applying an acidic lemon juice compress, which is high in vitamin C. Soak five to six cotton pads in concentrated lemon juice. Squeeze the excess juice out with your fingers, and apply them around the skin, focusing on the areas that are the most unevenly textured. Leave the pads on the skin for at least 15 minutes, then remove them and let the skin dry naturally. Repeat twice per day
