Prof refuses to release grade breakdown

because op was saying something like "Hey we all pay a lot of money for schooling - of course we are entitled to see our grades" (basic finicial transaction expectation)

The other commenter's point seems to be " hey int students pay a lot more , this is more about academic rights". The user appears to be an academic with strong passion for the integrity of his institution - although the reference to int students paying more may come off as a sort of weird flex/or built up frustration for his and his fellow international comrades expenses (based off assumption response commenter is an int student). The response commenter says this has "Nothing to do with what you pay" - which is where I assume most of the inclinations to downvote commenter came from. In this comment, the person takes it upon themselves to determine what the situation is really about, and shuts down alternative reasons why someone would feel they should be able to see their grade breakdown.

Your average University student here are not really interested in academia in that way. They do not give a shit about academic integrity so long as it does not effect them in a direct way. Most students I would presume would be more concerned with the fact that they paid a high price and thus deserve the "full package" for their payment.

When op commenter responds to this by explaing what the main point of his message was - other dude says "that's what I said" - when really this was not what was really being said. The discussion got derailed by an unnecessary side tangent about international tuition fees.
