Running... is beneficial to the human body. It increases circulation and is an activity that, when done in moderation, maintains healthy body function.
Art... is a contribution to society. It’s an expression of emotion and skill and has so many different mediums that encourages us to explore meaning beyond our own perception.
Music... I mean, really? The skill sets are so wildly varied. No one can just lift a violin over and over again and suddenly be able to play it one day.
Your comparisons are so far fetched. Powerlifting is a dense, one dimensional, activity that I find difficult to call a “skill”. There’s no concept of teamwork or mental obstacles. It simply.... is. And is no one going to admit that performance enhancing drugs go almost hand in hand with this?
