Professor is being unfair

Honestly, I submitted as many as I had time for, even though I knew only the few more recent ones would get credit according to the syllabus. I just wanted to show effort. I really only need him to grade at least one for me to be okay though. I probably turned in like 8 just so that I would have a better chance of getting points for SOMETHING. It was hard for me to finish them on time because I had hand surgery 2 days before the class started, and I was in pain and typing was a lot slower. I got behind and as it became easier to type, I would turn things in on time more consistently, but I still had catching up to do by the end. He explained in his syllabus to just submit work for late credit within a certain time frame. We never needed to contact him if we missed an assignment and he would get a notification when a new one was submitted and would grade it. I don't know what would have protected me from him suddenly changing his mind. Money-wise, I just believe that if you pay to be for a class, you should be treated fairly and in accordance with the guidelines you signed up for. I feel like him randomly decided it is too late when the class is still considered open is weird and he should have messaged the class if he planned to close his late submissions earlier than other professors. I don't have this problem with my other class.
