Professors allow/don't punish/only give warning for cheating.

Do I seem like I'm trolling? Really? I'm sorry you feel that way. I shall endeavor to be less...trolly.

what do you mean "identical (wrong)"? Homework, to my knowledge, is all the same. You fill out a sheet, or some sort of assessment, and they're all graded the same. What's the difference if you get the same answers via copying or not?

I'm not sure how much Physics you have had, but there are a variety of ways to come up with an answer. It is highly unlikely two people will do a long multipart physics problem the exact same way, much less 15 people. The professor already determined that it was academic dishonesty and informed the class to stop.

What do you mean? Take pictures of their own quizzes? Or anyone's? I find it very, very difficult to believe your school has a rule against you photographing your own assignment

So, your advice is to tell me I am a liar? The instructor doesn't want the quizzes out there in circulation. She keeps all of them, and the exams, too. You can't take them home, and you can't take pictures.

and how do you propose a school would move to prevent this? It sounds good and right in a world where things worked perfectly. But in reality, there's no way of stopping that. People are going to be shitty, and people will use means to get ahead in life.

The way to prevent it is to alternate tests and assignments. Don't use the same tests and homework assignments every year. Make a copy of a sample exam available to ALL students. It works in my other classes.

Don't like it? Switch schools.

That is somewhat difficult to do, since I am a senior, and that would add another two years to my schedule. Also, the advanced science courses I am taking are not taught online. They have labs.

But in reality, there's no way of stopping that. People are going to be shitty, and people will use means to get ahead in life.

And other people will blow the whistle and call foul.

but at this point...who's actually being harmed here?

Students of medicine who cheat? What could possibly go wrong?
