Profile Review - High Verbal Low Quant from elementary teacher to MBA

I think you should try retaking once if you have the time, but if not you should still go ahead.

Women are still underrepresented in b school and all programs are trying to recruit heavily. As long as you have stellar apps and a good story, you will have a shot even at Yale/Kellogg/etc. The reality is that women often don’t bother applying because they feel their app isn’t good enough - ignore this and do it!

For context on me, I’m a 28 year old female with a 750 GMAT but similarly uneven quant/verbal breakdown. I had taken the GRE a few years ago and gotten a 168 verbal, 160 quant. Probably would have been fine using it, but I had the time to prep for the GMAT early this year. I studied social sciences. One thing I’ve done since graduating which you may want to consider is taking a stats and/or microeconomics course.

Also, look into HKS and joint MBA/MPA programs. They’re more common than doing an MBA/EdM. A few schools like Tuck and Sloan give you the option of doing the MBA there and the MPA at HKS.
