Everyone is driven by emotions, including, and arguably especially, conservatives. Which emotion is the driver is the difference.

The little example I quoted up there is an example of empathy. I mean, you grossly exaggerate it, but it's still an example of empathy.

Conservatives, OTOH, tend to be driven by fear. They tend to be very resistant to change. Also, you said liberals are controlled, yet the largest propaganda network in the US is FOX and they continually pump out half-truths, lies, or other misleading content that many on the right just gobble down with little question.
