The underground train is being built as it is part of a masterplan that was crafted with the help of Japanese consultants during the Aquino administration. It will also come with Japanese-designed flood control (Japan ang contractor eh) kaya baka hindi ganun kaproblema mga ulan at bagyo, maintenance will be the challenge. Bus Rapid Transits and dedicated bus corridors are a great idea, but they aren't as high-capacity as trains but according to the plan that I mentioned, kailangan pa rin buses and BRT to provide commuters with an option while the trains are being constructed, and to act as road-based feeders for those trains once they are completed.
