Some of the most die hard pizzagaters I ran into always mentioned “the perverted murals” on the walls as proof that “something wasn’t right”.

And they’d post “proof” of these murals and link to these weird childlike paintings of abuse happening and just claim “these are the murals on the walls!” Lol

I knew it had to be complete BS but I was curious about how so many seemingly normal people came to believe these were the actual murals so I looked into the details.

It was pretty clever propaganda actually. The artist who in fact did paint a mural on the wall, like most artists, also made art in his or her personal life.

And this artist was abused as a child and “art therapy” helped them deal with trauma so they had drawn/painted some unsettling images of the abuse as a form of therapy.

But of course the propagandists posted pics of these small paintings and just claimed that they were huge murals on the walls and people believed it.

And since Comet pizza credited this artist with painting harmless, family-friendly murals for them, the liars used that as proof they were real because the images were taken from the artist’s social media pages where they had posted their personal art therapy collection. But they removed all context and was like “these are the sick murals!”

And even this article allegedly defending him from smears, posts his more risqué personal art and doesn’t clarify that they are not the art that he painted in Comet Pizza. The comment section will give you much hope about the direction American society is headed — NOT
