I see EAR/ONS as some sort of blue-collar worker. He may have worked as a contractor, plumber, or some other type of skilled trade that allowed him access to middle-class white suburbia home during the day. Already inside the home for legitimate reasons and takes mental notes of the floor plan and how he will break in months later. Or he unlocks window for entry that night. Notes the layout/sketch in his notebooks, and lists address of target location, then preps for future rape by breaking in, casing the house, taking things, then leaving. Homeowner just thinks they left for work and forgot to lock sliding glass door. Or the kids forgot to lock it before getting on the school bus. Utilizes bike to visit targeting homes at night because the ole plumber's van might be noticeable if parked in the subdivision at night. Or his work truck might be noticeable as well. Probably a truck because he could throw his bicycle in back of truck for quick exit from the area. Why a contractor type would need to relocate to Southern California and couldn't stay in Northern area is beyond me. Maybe the wife had a job that required she relocate.
