Protection for yabancı

Aussie Turk here. You’re better off going to an embassy as a foreigner if you can’t speak the language properly, I’m pretty sure they will help you deal with this, I mean the police in any nation will give a person a slap on the wrist/talk to them about noise complaints etc but the whole peeking and your child feeling unsafe? That’s a problem. I was in a similar situation when I lived in Turkey for a year when i was young and the police will get involved if its a concerning matter relating to the safety of a child.

As for the hatred of “foreigners”, some of them are like that, especially where I live there are many, many xenophobic Turks who don’t like anyone outside their culture, but that’s with the older generation, the younger generation of Turks where I live in Australia just have massive ego’s and are pretty disrespectful.
