Protest against Erdogan. On the other hand why do so many Muslims support Turkey as opposed to the Kurds? It is like Israelis denying Palestinians the right to exist.

I don't know if you know this, but it has been alleged that PKK/YPG (or whatever they're called as I'm not an expert on the subject) are allied to Israel (and Israel has in the past financed terrorism there or threatened to). The PKK/YPG is also a declared terrorist organisation (by both Turkey and the US).

Keep in mind approximately 20% of Turkey is Kurdish and from what I'm hearing they're actively supporting the campaign or are totally indifferent to it.

It is also not ethnic cleansing as some people are claiming - this isn't a racial conflict as some idiots are trying to make everyone believe. From what I've heard the Turks are trying to create a safezone along their border for the millions of Syrian refugees that entered their country over the years (which just happens to cross over land captured by the Kurds during the Syrian Civil War) so that they can repopulate the borders around Turkey so that it creates a buffer between PKK terrorists and Turkey.

It's pretty much a Game of Thrones situation. Turkey does not want the PKK to become so powerful that it actively one day would declare war on Turkey (which is certainly possible because the YPG is a very trained and experienced force).

Overall, I'd say the YPG/PKK alliance with Israel and America is the thing that really soured support for the Kurds for most Muslims. And the fact that having another American satellite state in the Middle-east would prove disastrous for the Middle-east but beneficial for Israel and America.

It's a complicated situation but I can understand that Turkey can't keep Syrian refugees in their country forever.
