So it seems like the biggest issues facing your department then would be the recruiting. Not trying to come after you or anything, but if you’re invested in trying to right the wrongs you see, you could try to invest yourself more in that process. Community outreach and the like, that is. At this point every person in every profession needs to be actively working to fix these issues. I understand the problems of working in an underfunded service field and the problems in attracting qualified applicants, but we to collectively be humble enough to realize that we have to constantly be advocating for true justice, even when there are a million things in the way making that seem harder.
