Protester who lost life savings regrets involvement with 'Freedom Convoy'

BC has strong tenancy laws which are skewed in the favour of the tenant. He probably hadn’t paid his rent in at least a year, and an eviction notice was quite possibly brewing for 2 yrs wherein there was a freeze on any evictions during covid - my guess only. But as a former renter myself and also as a landlord renting out our retirement apartment- it is next to impossible to evict a tenant… even the bad ones. We were lucky to have great tenants because we treated them fairly and very well (gifts of a months rent and grocery gift cards at xmas) and I made sure they knew their rights… so I am aware of what the laws are… this guy must have done something egregious to be kicked out…or maybe he moved out on his own without paying and the fabrication of him being “kicked out” and homeless gets more sympathy.
