Protestors in South Korea burn statue of Douglas MacArthur. The protestors were calling for the immediate withdrawal of all US forces in south Korea and for peaceful reunification on the Korean peninsula.

Just a point, sure looks like the south has done a fair bit better than the north. Don't really see too many fleeing up north. Also the legal system seems to be a bit better in the south than in the north (a tool use just to enforce party doctrine), plus it would be interesting to see what pro democracy/even pro-south Korean protestors would face in the north. Sure there is inequality in the south, but there is more in the north where they "tried"(but not really, rather kept the old caste system) to destroy it. But it also seems that even the lowest class people in the south have it better than the majority in the north. It seems to me this: give a man the opportunity to flourish on his own without state infringement and he will.
