There were slaves who genuinely believed their best place and the best place for all other black people was under the control of the White Man, because they believed their 'race' was inferior to the 'race' of their masters. They were educated under White Supremacy and believed that it was the best logical way for humans to live. This is because people of African descent are just people, and people can be flawed and hold toxic beliefs.
