A Provo protest gunman was arrested, and a second person was arrested on obstruction of justice and rioting in connection with the shooting. Police are still searching for a different protestor who aimed a handgun at the truck as it drove away.

Once again if you read my other comments you’d get a better idea of the matter. My stance is threatening human lives needlessly isn’t okay. It’s wrong. The people in the street were wrong for blocking the street, the car driving towards them to try to force them to move out of the way was wrong, the person who shot the driver was very wrong. My entire point in this entire matter is sentiments like “run them over”, “they got in front of the car so they deserve it” that these threads seem to be dripping with are insane. Nobody deserves to get run over for a class b misdemeanor. Nobody deserves to get shot for simply trying to get to where they’re going neither.

But when you go around insinuating that it’s okay to kill people because you disagree with them, whether it be because they’re in the street, their political views, or trying to get to work or wherever; you end up with a bubble of assurance that their actions are justified when a crazy does actually decide to act on their impulses, that’s how you get people like dylonn roof. He legitimately thought that he was going to be hailed as a hero for what he did rather than convicted like the little Nazi psycho he is. The same thing is happening on both sides, I guarantee that crazy person with the gun thought he was in the right to shoot that driver because in his mind he was stopping a vehicle attack on the protesters. That’s what happens when you allow super polarized bubbles to appear. It’s dangerous, people forget others online and in the news are actual people and post some insane things online, then get appalled when crazy people act on their echoes sentiments in real life. This is dangerous and has to stop.
