Again, I'm not Saudi but last time I checked, women in KSA are going to the malls, and generally just having the time of their life. KSA follows Islamic law which stipulates that women should be away from all harm and must be protected at all times, I wouldn't call that oppression. Also, KSA has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, I don't think anyone there is living in fear.
