[PSA] Benzene, a known carcinogen, found in 27% of Tested Sunscreens

So... has anyone found an actual paper about this? Their "reference" is a blog post, and they never once state the method they used for identification. Benzene can be produced from common skincare ingredients such as sodium benzoate under certain conditions, so it's kind of important to state what kind of procedure and instrumentation they used.

I looked up Valisure and found a bunch of posts from them about the presence of benzene in hand sanitizer. I can't find a single scientific article supporting this, and again, they do not state their identification method.

I dug even deeper, and found that their primary testing method uses an unnamed, patent-pending system. They don't even specify the type of instrument. I'm not saying this post is invalid, but I wouldn't freak out just yet.
