PSA: Buy a headset, use your mic

TONS of times when you might need to ask a question about what is happening in that match just then, not a general newbie question.

Have a map, pay attention to the map & checklist, pick up a walkie talkie.

If people aren't talking you can still hear their counselor scream when Jason is around. So now you know Jason is busy.

Look at your map to get an idea of where they are at. You might need to loot their dead bodies.

Help out if you want or continue going about your way raiding cabins, completing the objectives.

When people are moving to the car, be ready.

That's it. It's pretty simple. If you want to attempt to kill Jason, I would agree that communication is needed, but if you're just trying to survive you don't need to communicate to get out alive.

If someone is flashing the flashlight towards a drawer theirs probably something important in there. If someone is flashing the light at you they're probably telling you to follow them as they have the keys.
