PSA: Don't Trick the Photographers

Forget I even mentioned lawyer. It was a bad example and apparently people got fixated on that.

My point is that there is a wedding premium and photographers charge what they want because they are holding your special day hostage. You want nice photos from a satisfactory photographer? Better cough up $$$. Even if my photographer was charging for the hours of editing, because Ive worked in a creative field and I know that there’s not that much to editing and it doesn’t take that long.

I’m shocked at people in this thread. It’s like they’re all brainwashed. Maybe it’s because regular, non creative people just don’t have the eye to tell which photographers are good and which are bad, so they think they’re all worth whatever they want to charge.

I’m lucky in that I can pay for decent photography. My friend couldn’t afford to pay that much for photography and her wedding photos were bad. Thanks, wedding industry.
