PSA: Homeowners! If you have any natural gas systems in your home, such as a furnace or a water heater, buy at least one CO detector. More if you can. Put one near the furnace in the basement, and one in every bedroom being used.

CO Detectors are placed on the wall NOT ON THE CEILING

I made a statement that they should be placed lower because CO Is Heavier than Air

This depends on the density of the air in the room

Kidde ONE OF THE LARGEST MANUFACTURERS OF CO DETECTORS

suggests that they should be plugged into an outlet which is in most homes

However if children are in the home they can be placed higer

THEY ALSO SAY that they should not be placed in Kitchens or Furnace Rooms

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME READ THEIR DOCUMENTATION

UNLESS A SMOKE DETECTOR ALSO INCLUDES A CO DETECTOR
THEN CO DETECTORS ARE PLACED AT EYE LEVEL OR BELOW THAT

One of the people that voted me down and doesn't have a clue

is even named Almost A Troll.... NO you are completely a troll

AND you and your buddies are likely to get people killed with your bad advise.

Smoke Rises that is why Smoke Detectors are on the ceiling

CO does not Rise.. ESPECIALLY IF ITS NOT FROM A FIRE

THAT IS WHY THE DETECTORS ARE PLUGGED INTO AN OUTLET

OR PLACED ON A WALL AND NOT THE CEILING

GO READ THE DOCUMENTS THAT COME WITH THEIR DEVICES
