PSA: If a teammate is giving advice, they are NOT trying to insult you

Relevant story. This happened today:

Playing Hero League match. Map is Cursed Hollow. I took LiLi. Our number 4 player selects Nova right away.

Me: U serious about Nova?

Nova: I am best Nova player.

Me: I am best Nova player too, but I don't play her in Hero League.

Nova: Why?

Me: Because she can do only one thing. She cant help with laning and mercing that well.

ETC: Ya, she is not a good pick.

In the middle of this discussion, someone locks Zeratul. Now we have LiLi, ETC, Azmodan, Nova and Zeratul. Other team has Illidan (what a surprise), Muradin, Jaina, Kaelthas and Malfurian. Game starts.

Me: We have unconventional composition. So we have to compromise. Make sure we cover all 3 lanes.

Mid game, we are behind, level 13-16, we ETC did not come to a team fight, he pinged for retreat and said,

ETC: We are 3 level behind, try to soak and catch up. We cant win team fight.

Nova gets to a rage. Starts calling him names.

Me: ETC is actually talking sense. Nova, you don't understand.

Nova: You all dickheads.

ETC: No point raging, lets try to salvage this.

Nova: Eat shit and die.

Me: If you are right, why are you angry?

At no point we said we are losing for Nova. Because that's counter productive. To be fair she got 10 kills for 2 deaths. But game didn't even do to level 20. We were trampled.

The problem with having Nova (and also Zeratul in addition is to her), once we are behind its very hard to come back. Because of the imbalanced team comp. Nova could have kept cool and listened to what we are saying. But he got into defensive needlessly. I hope he will take the lesson eventually.
