PSA: Newest GeForce Experience update breaks XBox 360 controller support.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

It all started Monday when I wanted to play some MGSV Ground Zeroes. But my controller didn't work, weird since it had worked the last (and only time so far) I had launched the game. Some searching came up bunk, only x360ce related stuff like you found which I didn't even bother installing because the game had just patched and I figured it was Konami's problem. But the way in which it didn't work was more bizarre, I could only reach the "PRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE" screen, skipping the preroll stuff worked just fine with a controller.

Then Dirt 3 got the Complete Edition update. It worked fine. Once. Played some last night just fine. Tried to play some today and it didn't work. They had also just released a patch. Just like Ground Zeroes, I could skip pre-roll with the controller, but in Dirt 3's case the blocker was saying ok to the autosave warning. Konami and Codemasters breaking controller input in such similar ways just for me?

A few hours of frantic searching, uninstalling/reinstalling drivers and finally a compatibility mode optional 360 driver install later I finally got Dirt 3 to crash on launch. A crash related to "rxinput.dll" which apparently works with SHIELD as well, a quick "geforce experience breaking 360 controller support" search later and I'm here.

Uninstalled Geforce Experience, launched Dirt 3, and IT WORKS.

Thank you so so much. I was going crazy. Have you had any problems since reinstalling GFE? I'm assuming you didn't re-opt into their beta. (I should have known after being bitten by their beta graphics card drivers before, they work on too low a level to safely use that stuff with)
