PSTAT 170

I'm in the class now and can tell the quiz was hard. The quiz tested us on material we just learned on Wednesday and frankly, I thought it was pretty unfair. (Your quiz was on buying and selling puts, right?) The only way one would have known the answer was if they did the homework and looked for the answer through Chegg because the book doesn't show a payoff diagram of buying and sellling puts/calls simultaneously (I read) but does show the profit diagram. If you knew the difference between the diagrams for payoff and profit, then it would've been easier but many people didn't. Also, the terminology is pretty confusing tbh because there are a lot of combinations and the different graphs it produces. I can tell this stuff takes a lot of practice to get a grip of, just like PSTAT 171 and it's similar to an Econ course.

Don't feel bad. Even though this is the hallmark class of the major, there is a lot that goes into the major. I feel that Math104ABC is just as important because of the programming experience.
