Psychedelic mushrooms for depression: Psychedelic drugs like psilocybin are back in human trials to treat people with mental health conditions. It's a second revolution for a class of drugs shunned by 1960s society

Not sure why they said “orange” specifically but it probably has to do with the old way of thinking that taking vitamin C rich foods with acidity like fruit can increase the effects of a psychedelic trip. There’s no proof that this works though and to be honest...it doesn’t. This came about because of an enzyme found in grapefruit. There are medications like benzodiazepines that will specifically tell you not to take them with grapefruit because it can increase blood concentrations of the drug in your body, but psilocybin doesn’t work the same way.

Now one thing that does work for people that get nausea when taking mushrooms is to make tea from the mushrooms and use plenty of lemon juice. Apparently the lemon juice helps to settle your stomach but to be honest even here i image what settles your stomach more is the fact that you’re drinking extracted psilocybin in warm water than consuming a bunch of dried mushrooms.
