I wouldn't be so sure about that part. It sounds like wishful thinking. Other than that, yeah it's a pity party. But it helps people who spend every day sucking up their emotions and hiding them from others for very valid reasons by giving them a place to vent and find people who understand them. Is the community toxic? Maybe? But that's because negative people are toxic, and they know that, which is why they hide it from everyone, which is why they don't feel comfortable in other communities? At least that's the case for me and I assume I'm not the only one who feels this way.
