PTR: Foliage now appearing with lower graphics settings, massive effect on frame rate and mouse lag.

What hardware are you running? I have a very old system with a card from 2010 (GTX 570) and I'm completely amazed that it's able to run a brand new game from 2016 at a somewhat steady 60fps and spikes of 30fps here and there at the lowest settings. I didn't notice any performance changes in this PTR patch luckily, but I shouldn't expect it to run this well for much longer. I get rising temps of 85 C+ every single time I play and I always have to spend 2 minutes of my first match without any models or UI loaded in. Like seriously I'll leave the spawn room and everyone in the match including their weapon FX are completely invisible for a while. It sucks that things like this will affect the lower end PC's so drastically but there's a limit to how flexible a game's performance can be especially with hundreds of different combinations of aging technology. The developers simply cannot keep making adjustments for old hardware, they have to stay on the curve. I doubt they'll change the forced foliage thing even if red outlines make it a non-issue... Maybe it's a problem with your specific hardware/drivers (or a bug when they made the change) because it's pretty odd to see that much of a dip in performance from such a minor change.

Otherwise if you have two monitors, I strongly suggest disabling the secondary ("win + P" hotkey). OW is pretty much unplayable for me unless I disable secondary. Sometimes I see games run better when I set priority to high for the process in task manager, too. Good luck.
