The PTS: from one extreme to another!

Last week: With a new character, I went and ran thru missions and UG, collecting whatever I could. After 4-6 hours, I unintentionally had a full set of Sentry's Call and some random weapons. Nothing was min/maxed, most had purple performance mods, and the stats weren't great. On WT4 UG Hard, I wasn't steamrolling thru the missions but it definitely wasn't easy, either.

This week: I got my live character. My min/maxed Sentry's Call, great stats, and the array of weapons I had collected. Going back to WT4 UG Hard, I had assumed I could steamroll thru the mission -- I couldn't. It took longer to actually pass thru all the phases. The patch notes list a lot of changes, but what I do know is that I don't remotely feel powerful; quite the opposite.

Having experienced a fresh character and then a min/maxed character, it makes me question whether it makes any sense to collect loot in 1.4 -- or if I should be playing this game at all. A loot-based game where putting in the time/effort to grind out some of the best gear in the game... provides no real advantages. And even sillier? Nerfing UG rewards, because purple weapons is making loot more relevant to you!
