Do I have ptsd?

So----

As you, and others have stated, best to find a professional.

But until that happens, I usually point friends and family to this website when they have questions on my PTSD:

https://www.ptsd.va.gov/public/PTSD-overview/basics/symptoms_of_ptsd.asp

Based on what you told us, you may have 1, maybe 2, of these 4 symptoms. It may mean you PTSD, it may not. No way to tell unless you seek professional help. But it gives some study material anyways!

Quoted from the website:

  1. PTSD symptoms usually start soon after the traumatic event. But for some people, they may not happen until months or years after the trauma. Symptoms may come and go over many years. So, you should keep track of your symptoms and talk to someone you trust about them. If you have symptoms that last longer than four weeks, cause you great distress, or disrupt your work or home life, you probably have PTSD. You should seek professional help from a doctor or counselor.
