This is the punishment that a 6 year old boy in Oregon received for being late after his mother's car wouldn't start.

The best part about the following is that she studied sociology. It looks like she's using the kids as lab rats.

Mrs. Fitzsimmons' Principal's Corner

Welcome To Lincoln! I am thrilled to be entering my 7th year as Principal of Lincoln Elementary School. It is an honor and privilege to work with the staff, students, and families of the most amazing learning community in Grants Pass! I thought you might like to know more about the person leading the Lincoln Pride...

Educational Background

I graduated in 1995 from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. I completed my Master’s of Education in School Counseling from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) in 1998. I achieved my Initial Administrative License through Portland State University in 2005, and will finish up my Continuing Administrative License from Southern Oregon University this spring.

Career Experience

My career with Grants Pass School District 7 began in 1998 as the School Counselor at North Middle School (NMS). In 2005 I split my time between my role as the Dean of Students and Social Studies Teacher. Then, in 2007 I had the opportunity to serve NMS as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. I joined Lincoln Elementary School as the Principal in 2008 and my time at Lincoln has been the best of my career! I am passionate about inspiring young children to dream BIG! I believe early intervention helps equip our children with a solid foundation made up of: strong academic and study skills, pro-active family involvement, positive social skills, and a healthy self image. I LOVE growing happy, healthy, and smart Lincoln students!

My Family & History

I am a 1991 graduate of South Medford High School. My parents still live at my childhood home in Medford and I’ve been a Southern Oregon girl my entire life. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters who attended Lincoln Elementary School. We have many of the same parenting struggles as other parents, and can appreciate that being an involved parent is both exhausting and underappreciated! But I can assure you that the Lincoln staff recognize how your hard work as a parent supports the success of your child! As a Lincoln parent, I am 100% vested in building a strong elementary educational experience for all Lincoln children! I believe our students learn both inside and outside of the classroom.
