Puppy blues or just asshole vibes?

Thank you for the read!

I work from home and have time to work out and exercise, even love hiking as I live in the south and we have plenty of room for adventure! But I’m noticing he’s absolutely a ball of fire with never-ending energy which I wasn’t quite prepared for.

I also do not have a fenced yard, so it isn’t as though I can let him off leash to sprint to his hearts desire. He is incredibly intelligent and has been learning quick! But he gets easily restless with then results in the destruction of anything his mouth can get on. I understand he’s a pup and that’s what they do, but it’s very difficult to really get all his energy out. And crate-training is a complete no-go.

He’s also a bit shy towards other people, yet completely aggressive toward other dogs which is strange to me because I didn’t thing aggression could come in a pup so young? I’ve ruled it out as it could just be fear, but he acts the same way even toward smaller breeds. I’ve tried even socializing him in low-stress environments, but it’s a hard no.

The Breeder can 100% take him back, and even has 1 or 2 of his siblings still. She is wonderful and really takes the time to sort through potential owners and their circumstances and we still keep connected to this day. She told me if I ever had questions/concerns that’s she’s just a phone call away.

I’m no going to immediately drop him off and just say ‘oh well’ and start searching for my new companion- I really want advice/opinions to thoroughly make up my mind and understand the situation at hand. I’m sure there are other things I’m leaving out- sorry for the sloppy response, it’s nearing 2AM
